Eight new transformers for Surulere

Electricity is the achievement he names first. Surulere's older streets were served by transformers installed decades ago and long past their capacity; outages of days at a time were ordinary. Over his second and third terms he worked with the distribution company and community development associations to identify the worst-served streets, and in March 2023 eight new transformers of between 300 and 500 kVA were commissioned across the constituency.

He has described power as 'my greatest achievement' because of what it unlocks: shops that stay open after dark, children who can read at night, cold stores that keep food. Whether the transformers were funded from constituency allocations or privately is one of the details still being confirmed for this page.
